On October 7, 2023, reality in Israel changed forever. Out of the pain, the fracture, and the memory, “Naked Truth” was born, a creation that tells the Israeli story of loss and belonging, unity and separation, resilience, courage, and spirit.
The performance weaves high-quality contemporary dance with a haunting musical score and deep theatrical composition, transforming human emotion into a universal artistic language.
Integrated into the work are segments honoring the victims of the Nova Festival and families who have endured grief and loss.
The piece raises questions about gender roles in times of war, women as lionesses, and men expected to stand tall while their hearts crack from within.
This is a unique stage experience that resonates deeply with audiences, young and old, beyond words. Although the work was created in Israel, its voice belongs to anyone who longs for life in this world. It reveals and allows us to feel the complex, scarred, painful, and also beautiful faces of the people of Israel.
‘Naked Truth’ is a powerful, moving, and profound experience, a performance created in Israel, yet speaking to every human heart.

Praise for the Show

“Yaniv Hoffman has achieved what many aspire to but few accomplish and along the way shattered the glass ceiling between what is labeled ‘folklore’ and what is considered artistic dance.”
Merav Yudilovitz, HaBama
״We experienced moments that were intriguing, unsettling, emotionally and intellectually stirring moments of awe, moments of darkness and sorrow, and moments of hope. A work that feels true and precise for this moment in time. Hoffman’s movement language is rich and distinctive Israeli modern dance at its finest. ״

“Naked Truth” is a form of social dance that hits directly in the gut.
A bold, deeply human performance that asks difficult existential questions we cannot avoid“
The blog of Iris’s Island

״The performance is an event that affected me and I still carry it in my heart... The work is woven with elements that stir the audience, trains without an engine and without direction
(the country? lack of leadership?).״
Marie Rosenblum,“Downwind” magazine
